Jail/PrisonWho We Are
Orchard Grove Jail/Prison Ministry is here to serve the hurting and broken men, women and children in the community and behind the walls of incarceration.
Members of our Jail/Prison Ministry know all too well the pain that being in the system of incarceration can cause. There are chains locking up the hearts of those who are behind bars aswell as the loved ones left trying to pick up the pieces. This ministry was born through a vision of keeping families together through the willing hands of helpers in the church and community around us.
Have any of these questions ever crossed your mind?
“My son’s in prison and no one will talk to him but me. Is there something you can do?”
“My daughter is beginning to ask questions about God during our visitations. Can someone help me answer her questions?”
“My husband was just released from prison and he needs a strong mentor. Where can we find help?”
How We Serve
Our team writes letters, mentors, prays, and lifts up the inmate and his/her family whenever possible. We can also visit your loved one in jail or prison if they desire us to do so.
In partnership with Prison Fellowship, we also host an “Angel Tree” Christmas party each December to bridge the gap between the incarcerated man or woman and their children at an especially lonely time of year. A child can experience so much joy knowing their incarcerated parent is thinking of them in this special way!
When a prisoner is released we can walk beside them in practical ways to help them see and feel God’s touch of reconciliation to their family and the world around them.
One word, one touch, one smile can change the life of a hurting soul.
If you would like help or more information about how we can serve you or your loved one, email us at

"When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
